Interesting, I also use openSUSE, but still 10.3 and FF 3.0.5 from the 
Mozilla repository. Maybe there is an issue with some patches 
introduced to FF by Suse.

xine-lib does not compile? Have you tried xine-lib from the Packman 
repository?

They have it available for 11.0 and 11.1. I use Packman's xine-lib and 
it works fine.
