Did you click on "Apply" before checking? If so, you'd see
gui.deinterlace_plugin.

That said, I'd forgotten about the video post-processing "chain reaction"
window, which should make this somewhat easier.

Whereas I don't see it. It's possible that your chosen window manager is
what's actually allowing the bug to be exposed.

Then configure it to run synchronously (there's a setup option for this) and
run it in gdb or something similar; you'll want to set a breakpoint on
_XError to be able to get a useful backtrace.
