Hello!

Recently I had the problem to read the MPEG stream of a corrupt video DVD. The
index files seem to be corrupt and most player software (vlc and mplayer) fails
to play this DVD. As xine seems to have no problems I wanted to salvage the DVDs
content with xine. I found out that one can specify a file to save the stream
data by appending "#save:" to the MRL. As I did so the file was created but has
zero length and xine seems to do nothing (no video playback etc.). When omitting
the #save option the video is played correctly. Am I missing some further
options in this case?

Regards
     Christoph
