Re: Some minor (and a one major ?) issues in xvid 1.1.3

Hi,

there's a tool in Debian called 'lintian' which checks binary packages 
for common errors.
It throws the following warnings when running over a xvidcore package 
built from the 1.1.3 tarball:

    $ lintian ../xvidcore_1.1.3+debian-2_i386.changes
    W: xvidcore source: configure-generated-file-in-source
    build/generic/config.status
    W: xvidcore source: configure-generated-file-in-source
    build/generic/config.log
    E: libxvidcore4: shlib-with-non-pic-code usr/lib/libxvidcore.so.4.1
    W: libxvidcore4: shlib-with-executable-stack usr/lib/libxvidcore.so.4.1

I consider especially the 'shlib-with-non-pic-code' error very serious!
