please note that the Xvid source code repository is now available
through subversion at http://svn.xvid.org.

See further instructions here:

http://www.xvid.org/SVN-Server.53.0.html

The old CVS server at cvs.xvid.org will continue to be available but
read-only and hence lacking further updates...
