Slow encoding...

Hi,

in Linux xvid encoder slow than Windows compiled version. If use me_quality=1 
i have 12fps, if =0 then 25fps. But in Windows i use vhq=1,me_q=1 and have 
only 70% cpu in use. 
I use mencoder, may be problem in it?
