Hello all! If you are an observer on jain-sip.dev.java.net you may have noticed a flurry of updates. This is because the source code has been moved from the NIST repository (details of which posted earlier) to the repository on java.net. As of now, here is the status of the project for JSIP V 1.2 : -- API + RI + TCK is done. We will not be making any more changes except for bug fixes (these seem to have levelled off so things are stable as of now). -- API + RI + TCK will be submitted to the JCP afer Phelim has completed his review of the javadoc. I hope this will be some time soon. Its taken a while to get here but I believe we have a pretty good API, RI and TCK at this point. Several re-entrancy problems have been fixed in the RI, the performance has been dramatically improved (details on the project website). I have also added several new examples (some of which were contributed by the user community). Here is the project URL: http://jain-sip.dev.java.net Join up and cvs check out the latest. Further development and bug fixes will be done on the java.net repository. Do use the bug tracker on java.net to submit any issues. I'll keep the repository on the NIST site open for some time so if you are hacking on anything, you can commit the changes there and I will manually merge with the java.net repository. I'll be removing all access in a week or so from there. At this time, I'd like to acknowledge the feedback and contributions from the JAIN-SIP user community and in particular, I'd like to recognize the efforts and contributions of Jeroen van Bemmel in getting the job done. Jeroen contributed his time and expertise in defining the JAIN-SIP-1.2 API, in identifying and fixing bugs in the RI and TCK and in validating the TCK. Thank you. Regards, Ranga. -- M.
