This is not produced. In fact there is no libwww directory. The obj
directore contains

The only similar file I can find is wwwconf.h.in in Amaya_Build/libwww.
Amaya_Build is the base directory into which I extracted the download.

I attach the config.log in case this helps

does this need to be changed?

Could you test if it works when you replace (int) by l(ong int)
line 1188 in davlib/davlibUI.c
- GProp_DAV.numberTimeout = (int)data;
+ GProp_DAV.numberTimeout = (long int)data;

Pay attention you must clean upt the object directory or use a different
object directory to compile WX and GTK versions

I made this change and tried again. I got more errors and fixed similar
problems in davlib/davlibUI.c at line 1188 and annotlib/ANNOTmenu.c at
lines 96 and 790 and amaya/MENUconf.c line 4130.

Now it builds and delivers a binary. When I execute this I get:

Gdk-ERROR **: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)

serial 164 error_code 2 request_code 51 minor_code 0

Whtd do you suggest next?

Which version should I be running with Gnome?

I'd be grateful for any advice. I have Amaya running on an old Windoze
laptop, but would prefer it on my Linux box
