Unable to compile on Linux i386.

When I only use  --enable-system-raptor:

I have tried with several Linuxes.Only on Ubuntu 9.10 UNR(Netbook Remix) I was able to compile but at runtime

nothing appears,no GUI,but the program is running,when I kill the process it terminates normally.
Any idea about how can I resolve this?
