Amaya not launching (Kubuntu)

Hi.

I installed Amaya (11.4.4) with the Ubuntu deb package from W3C.

But when I try to launch it, I have the following error (trying from the 
terminal):



(amaya_bin:4648): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory of theme Faenza has no 
size field


(amaya_bin:4648): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory of theme Faenza has no 
size field


(amaya_bin:4648): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory of theme Faenza has no 
size field

Segmentation fault (core dumped)



However, if I try with sudo amaya, it launches!
Any help?

I'm running Kubuntu on a Macbook 2.1.
