We've edited the author includable in the Blog1 widget to use the Google+ Profile widget. Example: http://www.confluentforms.com/2012/11/using-blogger-create-gorgeous-websites.html You could also directly edit your template to pull the post's author profile URL and display it however/where ever you'd like.
