Hi Christopher,

The persistent url is an issue as I'd like articles to be citable by a 
permanent url.  The EPrints generated url and article ID is very 
convenient but it still incorporates the TLD. If the TLD ever changes 
all the old citations will obviously not resolve. Of course I doubt the 
TLD will change but one never knows.

I think I've found a simple way to solve the problem though but I'll 
have to install EPrints first and test if it works.  Basically if I use 
a service like PURL I can register a partial domain. So I could 
register the TLD and then dynamically create a persistent url by 
combining this with the article ID. I'm assuming it should be fairly 
easy to hack that into the ID metadata display......

Any other thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!
