Hi, I have been looking at the suitability of using the Eprints software for a journals project that I am involved with. The project in question is a simple electronic journals project that aims to make paper based journals from developing countries, more widely available to the global academic community - more details are available online at: http://www.inasp.info/ajol/ At present the project just aims to make TOCs and abstracts available from the journals. At present the "technical" implementation is crude (just flat HTML files). As the project expands (its proving quite popular) I am looking to a better technical solution - eprints would seem to provide the answer. The question I have is to do with the way that eprints can be setup to handle journal titles (seems straight forward), then multiple issues (the question area) and then individual articles (straight forward). I assume that the classification schema could be set up to allow for some kind of parent/child/child relationship to be mapped to journal title/issue-number/article. Is this kind of functionality in-built as standard or does it need to be hacked by using something like the subject classification scheme functionality? Thanks, Martin ------------------------------------------------- Martin Belcher | INASP | www.inasp.info Nordanvag 20, 222 28 Lund, Sweden Tel: +46 (0)46 132 211 | Fax: +44 (0)1865 251 060
