Load balancing with externalserver

Hello,

  I just configured php with fastcgi in FastCgiExternalServer case,
but i have a question about load balancing possibilities :
For redundancy purpose, is it possible to have 2 apache servers who
shares access to 2 fastcgi servers, with round robin or failover
or another behavior ?

  As far i understood the doc, FastCgiServer handles load balancing
itself, but i have to run the cgi server on a separate machine, so
i must use FastCgiExternalServer.
