FastCGI bails out now and then

Hi,

So now and then on unpredictable moments mod_fastcgi fails to restart 
dynamic fastcgi processes.

The error log starts with comm with

(dynamic) server "/opt/guide/ppi.searchy.net/fcgi/php" aborted: (first 
read) idle timeout (90 sec)

and continues until apache is restarted (it makes most sense it would be 
in mod_fastcgi where the failing starts)

This case seems to start after dynamicMaxclassProcs has been reached. 
Processes are terminated by signal 10 (user defined signal?! :-S )

What can cause this behaviour to shutdown the fastcgi processing at all?
