Thanks for sharing your experience. just couple of qns : 

1. JSTL and S2 Tags : If you are already using S2 tags, where will FM be
superior? - i mean we will just use the same tags in FTL too. For
conditionals, i dont see any big difference b/n writing @s.if and <#if> -
please let me know what i'm missing here?

2. Code generation tool - can you elaborate a little more here? . What kind
of code is generated (is it a config file?) and what would be the input. I
haven't worked on AppFuse/Maven so am a little confused here
