Hi Guys, What with the API freeze looming on the horizon, and the nastiness with themes and UI toolbar controls - I was hoping to add several controls to help you make your stuff look nice; so really - I suppose, I want to know what extra 'widget' types we need, and some idea of how we can describe them nicely in XML. eg. the history (back/forward) button, can be simply implemented (and shared with Nautilus) perhaps with something like: <menuitem name="GoBack" verb="" id="GotoLocation" type="history" max_items="20"> <placeholder> <menuitem name="1" id="http://www.foo.com" _label="foo.com"/> ... </menuitem> Or somesuch ? what do you want from such a thing. Also; I see with the shortcuts, you have: <label / icon> '<<' [text entry] clearly that's not going to do too well as a control either; what requirements do you have for such things ? not being a galeon user I have no feel for what is needed here, but clearly it'd be nice to have that as a simpler built-in type that'll theme beautifully and be easier to code. Would a special 'control' item with a 'popout' [ is that what the '<<' thing is ? ] button and a label/icon be sufficient for your needs ? Anything else notably missing ? Thoughts / input (quick :-) Regards, Michael. -- [email protected] <><, Pseudo Engineer, itinerant idiot ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: Influence the future of Java(TM) technology.
