Yeah, this is another thing to worry about.

I want to add support for the standard env vars HTTP_PROXY etc at the very 
least, so that there is at least one sensible way to control these. marco is/was
of the opinion that non-gnome2 users can go take a short walk off a long pier 
which is why there is currently no other way to do this. I'd prefer to be more
accomodating, but it's also valid to argue that it's pretty stupid to have
proxy prefs in galeon when gnome has them, and it would be really wierd if
galeon had ui but the actual prefs were the same one gnome controlled too.

What's a decent solution?
