RE: TTF fonts in ~/.fonts in Galeon

I'm running RedHat 8.0, with with Mozilla+xft 1.2.1 rpms installed and
Galeon 1.2.7. Do those link against xft1?

My fonts.conf does contain the <dir>~/.fonts</dir> line.

I don't think Xft1 checks ~/.fonts.  Perhaps mozilla is linked against Xft1,
and not Xft2?

Also, in your /etc/fonts/fonts.conf, make sure you see something like:

    <dir>~/.fonts</dir>
