Crippled 1.3.4? Or stupid user error?

Hey all!

Just installed gnome2.2 and Galeon 1.3.4 (upgraded from gnome 1.4 and
Galeon 1.2.5). I haven't been subscribed to the devel list for a
while, so I've lost touch with recent progress. I'm sure you have
been over some of this, but please humour me. Most of the features
that convinced me to switch from Mozilla to Galeon seem to be hiding,
and the FAQ provides no consolation. Perhaps some of these are bugs,
but since I noticed them in the first minute, I suspect not. However,
the Screenshots page shows Galeon as it "should" be...

Should I switch back to Galeon 1.2? Is 1.3.5 going to make me happy?
Or can I just turn these features back on, and avoid the whole chore
of recompiling everything?

* Where is the "Settings" menu? Putting preferences under "Edit" was
a poor decision by Windows people in times of yore. People don't
switch to Linux because it's the same as Windows: they switch
because in Linux things are done intelligently. Also, what's this
"Web" menu? All menus may as well say "Web". It's a fucking Web
  Browser!!!

* Being able to enable/disable the proxy server from the Settings menu
was sheer brilliance, one of my favourite features, and it even was
partly responsible for convincing a friend of mine to give Linux a
try. Is it dead, or just turned off?

* How do I tell Galeon to override stupid pages with my legible
  fonts/colours? This was depressingly useful.

* Why doesn't right-clicking on the toolbar let me configure it
  anymore?

* I can still use my own spinners, but not my own themes/buttons? I
can't even decide what buttons I want to see??? Among things, I no
longer have a "search within this page" text entry box, and see no
  way of getting it back.

* All my old bookmark icons are gone. Is this intentional? I can't
even find the "fetch bookmark icon" menu item! However, new
bookmarks are stored with icons. What's going on?

* I can't get to the bookmark editor by right-clicking on a bookmark.

* How to tell Galeon which download manager to use? Also, the default
one doesn't clear files from its list after they're done.

* When I exit Galeon, it only saves one tab!

Sorry if you've been over all this before. I suspect and hope that
whomever did the build I downloaded just disabled them for some
strange reason, or that I just don't know how to turn them on, or that
they've temporarily been disabled for some reason related to 1.3.4
being a development version. Still, I'm a little nervous about the
possibility that some moron decided that the best way to convert
Windows users to Linux was to make Galeon as useless as Windows.
Please reassure me!

Cheers :)
-Ben
