About a GNOME common bookmark management

Hi all, First, sorry for ask about this, I can't get into the galeon-devel list archives and I can't show if you have been spoken about that yet. In the Gnome-network BOG at GU4DEC, we talked about create a bookmark management library into gnome-network. The xbel system can be a good point to start. Exists some type of effort to make something similar?
