We have made 2 changes recently that will help this situation:
  1) If focus is an entry box, then Ctrl+U will clear the box (if the
"Emacs" key theme is installed)

  2) Accelerators can be changed (in the same way they could in Galeon
1.2). CVS has the fix for saving the changed accelerators.

IMO changing the default shortcut is a WONTFIX.

We need to make a decision about this.

Hmm, this looks like the Infamous "galeon takes a long time to startup,
and so the session manager kills it" bug. This does seem to have
re-appeared recently :-( You may want to suggest that the user increases
the purge-delay in the Gnome session file for gdm.
