Hello I think it would be really helpfull if it would be possible to define an external url filter similar to squids `redirect_program' option. This allows the user to use many of the already available url filters such as bannerfilter (http://www.phroggy.com/bannerfilter). It would *only* filter urls *not* content itself. All Galeon had to do is pipe the url through the simple filter tools which read urls from stdin and write them to stdout. This would kill the need of local one-user squid installations. It's really overkill to install a proxy for a simple webfilter. All the smaller proxies i found are content filter not simple url filters. Any comments on this? Is it worth a bugreport?
