BUG REPORT: history list is not purged correctly

Galeon v1.3.19
Mozilla v1.7.5
GTK2 v2.6.2
Glibc v2.3.2
Debian Linux/Intel kernel 2.4.27

The Galeon web history list does not expire according to the schedule
specified by the Mozilla config variable "browser.history_expire_days".

It appears that the date of last reference for some URLs is updated
without visiting the page, so that they never actually expire from the
history list.

This problem seems to have existed for many previous versions of Galeon.
