Just because they aren't in the tools menu doesn't make them not a tool.

I don't agree here. Actually i rarley use toolbar buttons at all.
The only one i use is new-tab... Toolbar buttons are for accessing the
most often used functions. Menus should list _all_ functions.
Toggling javascript etc. isn't a prefernce imho, but a function.

If i would want pure html rendering without these functions i would use
light or skipstone: they use mozilla for rendering as well, and don't
have all these features...

I'm not talking about pure power-users, but of not stripping galeon of
functionality many users like.
