hola, my friend, rick moen, turned me onto galeon last night. previously, i was an ultra hardcore opera user. mozilla has gotten its act together in the last year. it has gone from truly unstable to pretty rock solid. but boy is it slow. slow to load and slow to render. other than its license, i honestly don't see why people use it. it's a pig. galeon seems to be nearly as fast and featureful as opera. it also seems to be just as configurable. i'm thinking of ditching opera in favor of galeon. you guys have a winner on your hand. forget the browser. when i read the galeon manifesto, i had to smile to myself and say "yeah, these people are cool". then i saw your browser and my jaw dropped. nice. really, really nice. there's a couple of features that opera has i'd like to see. i was wondering if you guys take wishlist items. :) if so, there are two things: 1. cookie management. i manage some mailman lists and it would be nice to filter cookies based on host and domain name. 2. one nice feature of opera is that you can highlight text (a word, a paragraph) and send it to a dictionary, thesaurus, translate between any number of languages and do a websearch with the search engine of your choice. i noticed that galeon has a facility to translate an entire page to english (which is cool), but it's nice to be able to translate or lookup just what you highlight. especially when you're doing a google group search and find the answer in a different language. anyway, galeon rocks. i love your manifesto. at this rate, i can see everyone dropping opera and mozilla, and using galeon as their browser of choice. thanks, pete -- Fingerprint: B9F1 6CF3 47C4 7CD8 D33E 70A9 A3B9 1945 67EA 951D
