Most users won't understand SmartBookmarks either (especially not the
new issues with character encoding), still they are one of the nicest
features of galeon...
Even tabs are kind of unintuitive at first to lots of users; and unless
they are using tabs, they'll be confused by the menu entries.
Or the "new bookmarks folder" - and so on.
Should all these features be removed from galeon menus???
At least the Block-Popups option should be understandeable by most users
that have surfed the web for a while... and most pages that use java do
display a message "you need to have java enabled" when it is not.
The javascript toggle is mostly obsolete for mozilla anyway: it should
allow a more sensitive filtering now: disable all popups, unrequested
popups (not caused by a mouse click), changing the status bar and so on
- some of these should be added as toggles... (of course not all of
them!)
The _learning_ curve should of course be kept low, but not by removing
anything that people could need to learn...
But by giving these entries sensitive names, tooltips and documentation.
Greetings,
Erich
