Philip more uncompromising you are going to be the better. But you really
need to be more concrete.

Consider that:
- a lot of things has changed in galeon2. Some of the old feautures doesnt
make sense unless some changes are reverted. For example tabs sizing works
in a different way. Now a tab size pref would not make sense, a number of
tab per window one could.
- some of the galeon2 things cant just get back. Context menus on toolbar
... middle click everywhere ... unless a big part of the code is rewrote.
- We are two weeks far from a freeze. Unless you plan to work days and nights
to get all back, we are not going to be able to.
- Unless you want to fork galeon in 3 pieces you need to agree with ricardo
too and some coordination between you two is necessary. I may be wrong but
I'm not sure ric agree on such an extreme plan.

So let me ask it again. To get to something we need a concrete list of changes
you want to do for 2.0. Then we can work on make it happen without manteinance
pains and sharing more code is possible. We could even discover that differences
in concrete are not so big and it's worth to come to a compromise for now.
I doubt it .... but who knows.
