But if there is 2 weeks discution and bittering about the target user
base, this leaves no time for fixing things afterward, as right now
galeon is in the state marco would wish, is it not ? So compromise for
now, and go into the problem more deeply for the next release.

Also, i think even if we go for marco's interface, that there is at
least some hope and explanation for the existing galeon 1 userbase,
which will feel badly if they only hear marco's quite undiplomatic
discourse (you are not my target user base, just go away :)))).

And when will that be ? next year ? If the discution takes place, then
there is time to fix things. Ideally a developpment cycle is discuss
fundamental goals at the begining of the cycle and then implement it,
not during the last few weeks.

If There is a discution and information gathering started, either at the
gnome 2.2 release, or even before, then the gnome 2.4 timeframe can well
be meet without problems.
