Hello list, (Note to list moderator, delete my previous attempt, there's no attachments in this message) Before reporting this to bugzilla, I'm asking whether this is a known phenomena. I just finished building GNOME 2.2 snapshot from GNOME CVS using jhbuild. After that I updated the latest CVS snapshot from Mozilla CVS and applied the gtk2mozilla_head_patch and built Mozilla w/ --enable-xft etc. with same prefix as GNOME 2.2. Everything went OK, no errors while compiling, GNOME and Mozilla working great both with the Xft2 sweetness. Then I compiled Galeon. But when I launch it, it will just spawn new windows as fast as it cans until it's killed. ~/.galeon2 is clean, settings in gconf are clean. I tried with my usual user account I created a new account for testing, nothing related to GNOME upon launching GNOME (Using gdm2 to do that). Same thing. Also with just plain X server and gconfd-2 running. Tried to supply an URL as command line argument, same effect though this URL is on the location entry as supposed to. This is current an AthlonXP box running Debian/unstable, gcc 2.95.4 was used, CFLAGS wasn't tinkered, no conflicting glib/gtk+/gnome 2.0 packages are installed, everything that is needed to get the desktop running and could be obtained from GNOME CVS were compiled from the scratch into a clean prefix (/c/gnome), the directory didn't exist in the beginning of the process. What is printed on the console and a strace log are available, in both cases five windows are spawned in a about a second before galeon is interrupted with a ctrl-c. Just in case someone finds this information useful. http://shakti.tky.hut.fi/tmp/galeon-spawning-windows-console.txt http://shakti.tky.hut.fi/tmp/galeon-spawning-windows-strace.txt Anyone got a clue what's going on?
