Yeesh. No, I was thinking of using the same code for most of the places, but having extra code which could be inserted/removed by the preproccessor such that the final result would be the same as the plugin, but defined at compile time. This would involve no more code than having the standard galeon + plugins. I do not want a complete fork of galeon, where the work is entirely duplicated twice, just the source editing to allow binaries to be compiled hiding the 'advanced' functionailty: #ifdef ADVANCED_MODE toolbar_menu->add(proxy settings) #fi IMHO, that seems far easier than doing lots of work on a plugin system. It would also have all the functionality controlled by the galeon team (rogue plugins often cause bugs) and would not have any of the plugin overhead. -- +----------------------------------------------+ | Mark Howard cam.ac.uk mh344@ | | http://www.tildemh.com tildemh.com mh@ | +----------------------------------------------+ ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
