Not at all, if the plugins are bonobo-based, they may crash and be
reinstantiated when required.

If writing almost two complete sets of user interface code is your idea of
'easier to impliment'... Yeesh.
It will also be far more maintenance. This is not the way to solve the
problem.
(I'm still writing my general response to these issues, just thought I
should note the very serious problems with this proposed solutions.)
