Open With menu

I've always been a big fan/user of the right click/Open With menu. Back in the galeon 1.2 days I think there was a preference to define what external programs showed up in the list and I added gvim to the list. Recently I've upgraded to gnome 2.8 and Galeon 1.3.18 and now gvim is gone. I have mostly odd and pointless choices in that menu now: Epiphany Web Browser Galeon Web Browser Text Editor Word Processor Text Editor Word Processor I have looked everywhere I can think to look in gnome, nautilus etc, but I have been unable to find where these options are defined.
