Galeon for Yellow Dog 4??

I've just installed Yellow Dog 4.0 on a G3 iBook, and am having trouble with installing and updating ; in particular, I found a tarball for Galeon, downloaded it, moved it to /opt, and did tar -xvzf as root. It didn't put a launcher in the Main Menu.
