Many thanks for the explanation. We have the same types of issues to 
deal with as well (we've funded mozdev to add many small features to our 
Mozilla build), so I feel your pain.

The features that we add to Mozilla make moving to a new upstream 
version difficult at times.  Also, we have to ensure that the 
translations are up to par or better than those for our current 
version.  Ah, the struggles of keeping up with Open Source.
