Fwiw, I don't remember anyone saying a nontechnical user he wasn't
qualified to comment on the project (unless someone nontechnical starts
explaining how something should be coded). You also seem to consider
Jeff's behaviour/opinion is the behaviour/opinion of the project as a
whole, which is not necessarily true...

There aren't that many gnome widgets, and more and more are deprecated
(ie they are known to be broken), and replaced with stuff from gtk+.
Keep in mind that there aren't an infinite number of developers with
infinte amount of free time and money working on the project... I don't
get the issues with tab navigations and mime bindings btw (I haven't
read the whole thread)
