Galeon 1.2.14 is about 300 years old, Mozilla 1.7.5 is rather new, so
it's no wonder it doesn't work out of the box.

Download Galeon 1.3.19, it works with Mozilla 1.7.5. See

Also see <http://galeon.sourceforge.net/Main/GaleonNews>. Galeon 1.2.14
was released on 2004-06-17, and it was the last release of the 1.2.x
line which worked with the old Gnome 1.x. Galeon 1.3.x (which works with
Gnome2.x) has become rather good in the meantime, and it is supported.
