clarification

i am by no means implying asserting anything, and i do mean ANYTHING,
about the capabilities, mental, moral, code forging, whatever, of the
developers.

it was their capabilities, both creatively and code quality that drew me
to galeon like a moth to a flame.

i think they did an amazing job with 1.2 and i felt that their "the web,
only the web" idea was sorely needed in a time of nautilus and konqueror
bloat

my hats are off to the developers. i'm just very curious as to why they
changed the interface so much,  you have to admit, that there has been a
big one between the two versions, and i really miss the last one, but i
can't get it to run on fedora 3

by the way,  the "look and feel" component of guis was what bill gates
spent a fortune on trying to break apple's lock on graphical interfaces.

apple's main legal defense of their proprietary lock on windowing os'es
was that "look and feel" shouldn't be copied.  in the lawsuit that paved
the way for widespread windowing os'es, the judge ruled that "look and
feel" wasn't sufficient grounds for patent level protection of their
operating system.

to the developers:  i am very sorry if i offended you, i probably have,
and if you feel some degree of ire towards me, please feel free to let
me know, because i would like to apologize in person.

i am glad, however that the users aren't helping to develop the linux
kernel because we all know that it would turn out to be a huge
disgusting pile of garbage. i'm glad it's a solo quest like windows, as
we all know is a far stabler design.

my only use for bill gates is that he spent a bunch of money breaking
apple's back, he was the sole reason that there has been an exponential
increase in the number of computer user's worldwide.  i have to give
credit where credit is due, for if it were not for windows, i probably
wouldn't be using linux today.
