Not if you choose the _right_ kdeinit process ;-)

kdeinit runs several processes in a session. In my case, the kded part
of kdeinit often proves redundant and killing it brings some sanity back
to my CPU usage.  As I said, I run Xfce as my WM and just fire up one or
two kde apps.
