Ah, I see: yes, that is different from a `difficult/advanced options'
dialog. (Or such a pane in the existing prefs dialog.)

So let me add my voice to the chorus calling for such a dialog: I'd do
it myself, but my todo list is so long that it'd be 2055 before it got
done ;)
