non-root install

Is it possible for a non-root user to install galeon-1.3, without
compiling his/her own version of all the gnome dependencies? AFAICS it
isn't, which is a bit poor in these days when distributions like the
Red Hat-based ones no longer supply galeon packages.

Firstly, it seems that root has to use bonobo-activation-sysconf to
add the location of the GNOME_Galeon_Automation.server.

Secondly, it seems that root has to run `galeon-config-tool
--install-schemas'.

I'm hoping there's a way round this...?
