Detaching bookmark folder submenu

Hi all, I can remember that I was able to detach bookmark folders by dragging the submenu handle. It was really handy to get a such floating set of bookmarks in a corner. I recently (months) noticed that submenus don't show this handle anymore, is this because of Galeon or GTK or ..?
