Ok just kidding, but did you try reinstalling the acroread package? Maybe it has some new patches. Does the standalone acroread work? Does the plugin work in Firefox/Seamonkey? Does ldd /usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins/nppdf.so (or wherever your nppdf.so is) find all the libraries? Regards...
