Well, I had an awful time finding an app that would open a .galeon bookmark file; and when that succeeded, I realized it was going to be a huge job looking for anything obviously wrong anywhere. But I remembered that I have plenty of other browsers, and Galeon isn't the one I keep my main stash in. So I started sending whole bookmark files to the trash. Eventually I had trashed them all -- and the result is still the same. Clicking the launcher in the drawer puts a little box on the panel which says (if you put the cursor over it) "Starting Galeon," or words to that effect. After a few seconds, the little box goes away. And that's the end of that. -- Beartooth Staffwright, PhD, Neo-Redneck Linux Evangelist Fedora 8; Ubuntu 7.10; CentOS 5.1; Alpine 1.0, Pan 0.132; Privoxy 3.0.6 Remember I know little (precious little!) of what I am talking about. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
