Funny you should ask this today, because this morning I decided to try
out epiphany once more, with a view to switching, and I've now decided
that the answer to that question is "never".

Epiphany's bookmarks system is utterly disfunctional. It may well be
more intuitive to a person who has never used a web-browser before, but
for those of us who have been using one since the days of Mosaic, it's
next to useless. One of the things I really like about Galeon is to be
able to store bookmarks in a folder on a toolbar, and then middle click
it to be able to open them all up at once. I could see no easy way of
doing this at all under Epiphany.

 From the very beginning, Epiphany has been developed with a strange
Gnome utopian user-interface mentality - we saw this prior to the fork,
when Galeon lost all of its useful features. That's all very well, it's
their application, they have every right to do that. But for me to
switch to Epiphany would mean having to put up with every insane UI
change - and feature removal - that a developer gets a bee in their
bonnet about, and frankly, I just can't be bothered wrestling with
Epiphany to get it to do what I want.

While Galeon still works for me, I intend to keep using it (and I have a
small patch prepared that I'm about to send to the devel list).

It's as Gnome dependent as Galeon is; they both require gnome libraries
to run.

Yep. I was running it under fvwm.
