There was a release (2.0.4) not too long back, but I think they are in
absolutely strict keep-up-with-gecko-engine mode. Would be great if
someone stepped up to take it over, but I certainly don't have the
time.

Mine crash too -- not always, but rather often. However, I /do/ get
the option to save to disk. I think you can configure this somewhere
in gnome-control-center or something, but I can't seem to find it
now.

It might be stuff under "File Management", and perhaps "Executable
Text Files". Mine is "Ask each time". I also have "Always open in
browser windows" unchecked.

Mind you, starting gnome-control-center will get gnome to start up
gnome-settings-daemon, and generally fuck things up royally. Now it's
sitting here taking over my window manager, eating key strokes,
setting background. Gah! Had to re-run xmodmap and everything.
