I have never come across this error message. What version of ht://Dig
are you trying to build? I can build 3.2.0b6 under OS X (not Server)
10.3 with all the latest updates. The 3.1.6 version also built fine the
last time I tried.

Are you sure that configure is completing successfully before you run
make? I am not sure why make would even be calling autoconf if all was
well with the packaged configure scripts.

Do you by chance have other development tools (e.g. from Fink) that
might be conflicting with those distributed by Apple?
