Glad to hear that option 2 worked for you - I believe this can be
problematic on some architectures.
 
As for option 1, you need to look at
http://www.htdig.org/attrs.html#url_part_aliases  and probably at:
http://www.htdig.org/attrs.html#url_rewrite_rules
 
http://www.htdig.org/attrs.html#server_aliases
<http://www.htdig.org/attrs.html#server_aliases>   may also be relevant.

	1) When I try index through http://localhost I get the results
also in http://localhost , If I go for this option, is there anyway in
which we can change url http://localhost to http://www.mydomain.com/
else I will write a script which will get the results in XML, and change
all localhost URLs, to mydomain.com.

	2) I tried indexing all the pages on other server where I have
privilages and then uploaded the db files on the production server, and
it works. Thanks :)
