As you may have seen, I added my 'Enhanced IMG alt-text' to the Feature Requests (#1409151), together with a full diff file of 12 files changes, including two in the /htmldoc documentation folder ... Here is tidydif3.zip, on my web space ... http://geoffmclane.com/tidy/tidy_03.htm#test which contains four (4) files, to add to the test suite - 1. tidydif3t.txt - a diff -u showing the addition of a test case to testcases.txt ... add 1409151 1 ... 2. test\input\in_1409151.html - an input folder, test case file, with an IMG with no ALT ... 3. test\input\cfg_1409151.txt - an input folder, test case configuration file, using each of the modifiers ... 4. test\input\arrow right.gif - a small image file, with the added case of containing a space character ... without this file, the %t (time), and %z (size) modifiers will not function ... obviously ... Further, in this regard, my code returns 'time/size unknown' respectively, but I was of two minds whether anything should be returned when the 'src' file is not found, or available ... I have tried to align the in_...html to exactly match the out_...html that tidy will generate, to facilitate an easy compare of what has been added ... and took the chance to put some more -alt-text help in it ... And, I have made ever effort to ensure the code is fully cross-platform. The one function, _fullpath(...) I am unsure about, I have put in a #ifdef WIN32 switch, but it ALL works WITHOUT this function, so maybe it could be removed entirely ... depending on the 'communities' ideas, whims ;=)) As usual, I hope this enhanced feature can be added to CVS, and perhaps a decision made to default to this feature to ON, so that more than a single piece of static text can be added as the image alt description text ... Enjoy tidying ... Regards, Geoff. PS: RE: Bug #1404077 MSVC (7.1) compiler warning! Thank you Arnaud and Bjoern for this CVS update ... It was interesting - I got the emails in the mid afternoon, 19th, but not until my system clock passed 06:26 PM (I think) did the actual cvs update work ... some sort of time warp ;=)) PPS: I learned the hard way, bounced email!, and from Charles, that NOTHING can be attached to a develop email, so have placed it in my own web space, with a write-up about the feature ... see - http://geoffmclane.com/tidy/tidy_03.htm EOF - Tidy-14.doc _________________________________________________________________ ASUS M5 Ultra-slim lightweight is Now $1999 (was $2,999) http://a.ninemsn.com.au/b.aspx?URL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Easus%2Ecom%2Eau%2F&_t=752129232&_r=Hotmail_tagline_23Nov05&_m=EXT ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
