Could you elaborate on why authors would ever want file paths, sizes,
etc. in the alt attribute? The content should be a replacement for the
image if it cannot be accessed by the user, and such information does
not strike me as very useful for that purpose. Some years it was rather
common that authoring tools put such meaningless information there,

and a number of tools specifically check for such content in the alt
attributes of a document in order to complain it such use.
